He’s Got You.
Do You Believe That?
What’s Standing in Your Way?
Ephesians 2:10
“For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above - spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].”
What does this mean?
You have been saved. The source of salvation comes from the grace of God. Faith is the WAY it reaches us, not the reason WHY it reaches us. It’s not about giving more effort to earn salvation. It’s already there through the love of God. He created us just as we are, not conditionally based on what we THINK we should be.
What does this have to do with self-love?
We don’t need to prove anything to anyone. We don’t need to live any certain sort of way. If we decide we are ready to do things God’s way, it’s not about trying to “figure” things out in order to earn anything, most importantly God’s love. He loves us unconditionally. He created us just as we are to walk the paths we’re walking. The hardships? They’re supposed to be there. It’s by design. What is God trying to show us that maybe we aren’t seeing?
What is he showing us through all the trials and tribulations of dieting and going to extremes to look a certain way? Should our worth be tied up in our weight on the scale?
Does having the weight on or off determine whether or not He loves us?
