Ceramic Tree Replacement Lights
Pumpkins on a Christmas Tree?
Get two seasons out of your ceramic tree instead of one!
At least once a season, my mom and I make our rounds through the local crafting and decorating stores looking for what we call “chach” (you know, the random pumpkin shelf-sitters, signs telling us about hayrides and bonfires, and autumn inspired artificial flowers). Michael’s is at the top of the list. After cruising through the scarecrows, I saw a display showing ceramic trees, like the ones you usually only see at Christmastime.
But they were not decorated for Christmas.
They were decorated for the fall season (and some for Halloween)! What a cool idea!
I grabbed the pumpkins, thinking they would be perfect for my white ceramic tree!
(I’m so lucky my grandma made this tree for me years ago)
Here’s the link to these pumpkin lights. Grab them on clearance for next year!
For the fall inspired ribbon, I used some wired ribbon I already had. If you need some, click the link below and you can find one you like. (this is an affiliate link)
When it’s ready to be decorated for Christmas, I used some sparkly red ribbon I already had. It was way too wide, so I just cut it to the width I could work with. I usually prefer to use wired ribbon. I like that it holds it’s shape better than regular ribbon for something like this. You want the bow to be able to stand up on its own. I put a link below to ribbon that would work.
I used two toothpicks taped together like a cross ( you can see this in my video) to attach the bow to in order for it to stand up in the hole on the top of the tree.
And there you have it! Double duty out of your ceramic Christmas tree!
